How to Create Monoprints and Collage Papers Using a Gelli Plate and Acrylic Paint

Description:
Come learn the basics of gelli printing along with some advanced techniques for creating gorgeous monoprints. Learn how to incorporate botanical items and stencils. Experiment with abstraction. Explore layering colors, shapes and textures in this highly addictive art form. Discover ways to enhance your watercolors and other paintings by using gelli printed papers to collage into your mixed media artwork. You will bring home several finished monoprints that are framable.
Supplies List:
These are necessary to begin gelli plate printing:
Gelli Plate – The gelatin-like surface for printing (available in various sizes).
Acrylic Paints – Fast-drying and vibrant; craft or artist-grade.
Brayer (Roller) – For rolling paint onto the gelli plate.
Paper – Mixed media, cardstock, printer paper, deli paper, or rice paper.
Palette Paper or Non-stick Craft Mat – For rolling off excess paint or mixing.
Baren or Bone Folder – To press paper firmly onto the plate.

Water bucket to rinse plate, stencils and brayer as you go
